13. EEA / UK Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) / UK GDPR gives you additional rights and requires us to explain the following:
a) Controller & Contact
Astrocheq is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. For any privacy question or to exercise a right below, contact support@astrocheq.com.
b) Legal Basis for Processing
- Contract — order intake, birth-detail processing, report delivery, payment processing, and customer support.
- Consent — analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and marketing cookies/pixels (Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API), and any promotional email you are not otherwise entitled to under contract. You may withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Legitimate interest — fraud prevention, website security, and service improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting, and regulatory recordkeeping.
c) International Transfers
Some of our service providers — including Google (Analytics), Meta (Pixel/Conversions API), Microsoft (Clarity), and our payment and hosting providers — are based outside the EEA/UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on the provider's certification under an approved transfer mechanism (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as offered by that provider.
d) Retention
We retain order and report data for as long as needed to deliver your report, handle support or dispute inquiries, and meet tax/accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised on request. Consent records are kept for as long as the consent is active, plus a reasonable period afterward, so we can demonstrate compliance.
e) Your Rights
Subject to applicable exceptions, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, for future processing
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, email support@astrocheq.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Legal Note: By using Astrocheq, you agree to this Privacy Policy and acknowledge responsibility for the accuracy of the information you provide.
